Kacha aam Arhar Dal

Arhar Dal with Green Mango is the unique but extremely tasty combination of Arhar Dal and raw green mango. This Dal dish tastes amazing when served with rice, especially in this summer season.

Dried Red Chili 2
Salt 1 tea spoon

Raw Green Mango Kaccha Aam 1 Chopped into 1 inch pieces

I like the raw taste of the mango. If you want, you can boil the mango for 10 minutes for a soft tangy taste.

Dhaniya Patta 2 table spoon Finely chopped
  1. In a Kadai, heat the oil
  2. Add the Jeera and the Mustard Seeds
  3. Once they start cracking, add the ginger paste and chopped onion
  4. Sauté the onion for around 3 to 4 minutes till it becomes pink.
  5. Add the tomato and cook for around 5 minutes. Till the tomato start releasing water.
  6. Add the turmeric powder, Coriander Powder, Hing, Curry leaves, Red Chili and Salt
  7. Mix this with the Cooked Dal and mix well
  8. Add more water if you want to make it thick. Not more than 1 cup
  9. Add the Coconut Powder and Chopped Mango and cook for around 2 minutes

Garnish with chopped Dhaniya patta and enjoy with Roti and Rice.
